6 Months!

I was blowing bubbles for Stella and Missy and I'm not sure who liked it better? They were more interested in each other then what I was doing...

We went to a pool party this weekend!
I can't believe Stella is 6 months today!!! We've enjoyed every single day! It just gets better! She's almost sitting up and can sit on her own for a little while. Although still a little bit unsteady. I stay next to her because she sometimes biffs it. She's getting closer though. I think she has to be setting the world record for teething with no teeth. A few days ago we were up with her for 3 hours with her screaming and pulling on her gums. Finally her tylenol kicked in. Her top left tooth is sitting right there on the surface and I've been able to see it for about a week now without it going back up so hopefully that means it may actually sprout. Before they have come up for a few days then disappeared again. She has been going through teething symptoms off and on for almost 3 months now. You can totally tell when they are bothering her too. Luckily she escaped the awful cold that the rest of us had. I don't know how. Aubrey, Mario and I all had it. It came with a fever so I kept a close eye on Stella but so far so good!

Turn your sound up before playing! :)

Little Chatterbox!

Here's a few pictures from the last week. Stella has been chattering up a storm. No words of course, but she has a vast array of noises and sounds. The funniest are the "gremlin" noises. Various snarls, growls and monster noises. On the other end, her laugh is adorable and she will laugh at almost anything. I'll have to try to get some on video again soon!

Looooong Update!

So much to update! We've had a busy few weeks! Stella loves to watch things and is so curious so she's had a great time doing and seeing new things!

We took her to Springtime Tallahasse, which is a spring festival with music, food, a parade, booths and just all sorts of things. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we had to cut the day short. She liked watching the parade but hated it when some of the cars in the parade would honk so we only watched for a little bit.
Not quite sure what this face is but I thought it was funny!

Aubrey had spring break last week so we went to Wild Adventures, an amusement park about an hour and a half away. We got season passes so I'm sure we will be going back throughout the summer. We only went to the ride part that day but they have a huge water park also!

They have a Jr. Museum here in Tallahasse that is basically a zoo. It's very pretty and you follow this walkway around the park to see all of the animals. Last week we went with my friend Jen, her 4 & 1 1/2 year old and her 2 year old neice! We had a great time and Stella loves to hang out with them! Her son Jaden LOVES Stella! He'll come up to me and say things like, "Baby Stella is a cute baby" and "Baby Stella has cute little fingers and toes!" She totally just grins and grins at him!
They have a huge park there where we ate lunch. Stella tried the baby swing for the first time! I didn't really swing it all that much, but she didn't seem to mind it. Next time we'll try swinging a little bit. Probably with Daddy so he can see too!

Practicing her yoga...she's really getting rolly and squirmy. She loves to grab her feet and rock herself around.

We had started her on Rice Cereal but she REALLY did not like it. We tried for about 10 days and she would just lock her mouth down and it would all run down her chin. A friend suggested we add a little something to it. Sooo, that is how the green beans started. We added a little bit and she loved it. You can't get it in fast enough! She sits there with her mouth wide open like a little birdy then gets mad if you don't spoon it in at her pace! So now at dinner we are doing 2 parts green beans and one part rice cereal. Usually 6 months is about when you start them on solids but the first night after we tried the green beans something miraculous happened....she pretty much slept though the night!!! I talked to our Dr at our 4 month appt and he said there is no specific time on solids. He said just start it when she seems interested in what we are eating. Well she already was and after she slept so good I didn't want to mess up a good thing! She's had 1 small dinner of green beans for over a week now and every night has slept great. I think it just holds her through the night and keeps her tummy full instead of the formula just going through her. She's actually eating less as far as bottles go. She'll go to bed between 7:30 and 8 and then wake up once around 3 then back to bed til 8. She was eating at 11, then again at 3 so now we are down to 1!!! That's held for about a week now. But even better news...last night she didn't even wake up once!!!!!!!!! This morning I kept rubbing my eyes and scratching my head trying to figure out if it was a figment of my imagination???! So basically she's a few weeks early on starting solids but she LOVES it, seems to be doing fine AND is sleeping through the night. Who am I to mess up a good thing!!!
Anything she can get her mouth on!!!
