Mother’s day Andrea Scoma
Mother's Day is coming up and I have the perfect gift for the Mother in your life!
You can find it in my Etsy store here.
It also comes in the plural version...here.
You can find more great gifts for Mothers Day on this treasury of finds on Etsy.
We've been really busy lately. I'm helping a friend with a charity event, which I'm also going to have a booth set up at so I've been trying to get ahead. Going to add some new signs I finished as soon as I get a sec.
Stella is her usual self. Always amusing and entertaining. Her latest is before you eat she says "Bon appetit!"
Busy but fun Easter weekend coming up. Egg hunt, bunny pics and a preschool friends birthday party!
Have a great Easter!

Lovie
When Stella was born I bought the prettiest Amy Butler fabric and had her crib set made. I wanted something unique, not something a million other people bought from Pottery Barn. Don't get me wrong, love Pottery barn. Just makes me cringe as it's hardly unique in the slightest bit and seems to be the Old Navy of children's bedding and things. So, slight tangent but because I had it made it was special to me and I didn't just want to sell it. On the other hand, what do you do with a crib bumper and skirt. It's been sitting on the top shelf in Stella's room for quite a while now. I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it yet. The other day on Pinterest (of course) I saw the cutest rabbits. Light bulb. I could make a rabbit lovie out of it! It would be something cute for her to love on, it would be special since it was made from her crib bedding and I could finally pull the bulky crib bumper out of her closet! I personally LOVE how it turned out. If you would like a cute keepsake bunny made out of your child's crib set or even part of it you can get your own custom bunny at my space on etsy. I won't be adding it until tomorrow but if your interested or even to just get one out of fabric that I can get take a look here after tomorrow. I can add any colors or fabric you would like or make it solely out of your material. Just send me the material you would like it made out of and I will send you the bunny plus any extra material leftover. Stella has it in her bed and uses it kinda like a pillow pet. Stella loves hers and I am glad that I can look at her bunny and remember her as an itty bitty baby in her pretty crib.

Create
It's been a while. Again.
I've been busy.
Crafting.
I love to craft.
Pinterest is like crafting crack.
You can find me HERE.
Ever since I joined last Fall, I have been crafting up a storm. The holidays were bad, or good depending on how you look at it.
I've always wanted to play with old furniture and turn it into something cool.
Pinterest was just the tip of the iceberg. I found this old wood boat storage curio thingy. I had found my first piece to play with. Now it's not a masterpiece by any means but it was so fun!!
So from there I went to town. I painted chairs, picture frames, big frames, little frames and anything else I could find. Mario actually said to me, "Are you going to paint anything else green"? Even though I love them, there's only so many signs one can have. Since before this we had already purchased some beach and boats ones etc. I had to do something else with some of them. For Valentines Day I made Mario a St. George Island sign. Which is the island we got married on. I bought a glue gun. Ok, no biggie right. Then I bought a sander. A friend from Stella's preschool asked me to make a sign for her Grandparents. Her cousin bought some frames I had when I dropped off said sign and I'm having so much fun that a friend and I are going to do a craft show next month. We'll see but for now I have put some of the things I've done on Etsy. Some frames, signs, pillows, light switch covers, head bands, clips and whatever else I whip up. Check me out here at Stella by the Sea.

We're alive...
Yes, we are alive. Stella started preschool 2 days a week and gymnastics has started back up. We've also been doing A LOT of projects. House and fun projects. We were in crafty overload over the holidays. The other day we had some friends over and decorated heart cookies and made these snazzy little wands. We took a kitchen skewer and snipped the sharp ends off. I sewed together 2 hearts out of felt with white yarn. Then we stuffed it with some leftover pillow filler. You can have them put something else inside it, like glitter, before you close it up. Kinda like build a bear. But of course we forgot that part. :) Then I put craft glue on the stick and stuck it in the bottom of the heart where I had left a little space. I rolled the wand in mod podge and Stella sprinkled it with glitter of her choice. :) Lastly, I tied a ribbon on held in place with a little glue. She loves it and has been "turning me into things" such as a carriage or fairy godmother all week.
Be back soon...lots to catch up on.
